About Us

South West Family Intervention Service is funded by the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services and only accepts referrals from the Department. This service aims to: Preserve families where a child (or children) remains living at home under ongoing intervention by Child Safety Services. Assists in the reunification of a child (or children) with their family from an out of home placement where it is determined to be in the best interests of the child. The focus of this service is on the development of practical skills that will assist parents to improve the safety of the home environment and build stability and stronger attachments between parent and child.
