About Us
Unleashing kids’ potential starts here at PCYC Palm Island.
Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) Palm Island was established in 2004 after substantial community consultation on the design and services to be offered. A number of government agencies from all three levels of government were also involved in the establishment process.
The facility consists largely of two main structures, one being a multipurpose sports centre and the other a multipurpose office and meeting room facility. This building houses the administration centre, a commercial grade kitchen, canteen, two meeting rooms and a child care facility. The meeting rooms and child care room can be opened by folding walls to create one large meeting room. There is also a toilet/shower complex located between the two larger buildings. All areas are linked by covered walkways. The central area consists of a yarning circle, picnic tables and a playground.
