University of the Third Age - Redlands

U3A is a self help education movement which caters for persons in the 'third age' and for those who have retired or are semi-retired, promoting the concept of studying simply for the joy of learning. It is not a formal University, and does not offer formal qualifications nor set academic qualifications as a pre requisite for entry. There are no exams. Classes are held in many areas around the Redlands and also in private homes. The service plays a vital role in improving the quality of life of retired persons.
