Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) - Rockhampton

Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) provide mental health assessments and case management to children and young people who have or are at risk of developing severe and complex mental health problems.

The Child and Youth Mental Health Service provide a team review of all referrals. The initial referral is received and the parents/guardians of the client are contacted to gather further information and gain consent.

All information is gathered, a decision is made about whether CYMHS is the most appropriate service to meet the child and family’s needs.
