About Us

This is attractive moderately challenging course with a range of gradient and path types. It is set in the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens and takes full advantage of the parkland and adjoining lagoon scenery. Most of the course follows sealed pathways but there are some easily traversable grassed and gravel sections that add variety and make for a very pleasant run. Facilities Toilets, a children’s playground, Rockhampton Zoo and the Gardens Tearoom café are located at the gardens in close proximity to our parkrun assembly point. Getting There Location of startThe run starts in the Botanical Gardens. Once in the Gardens, follow directions to the tearooms and playground from where parkrun activities are clearly visible. Getting there by public transportNo public transport options are available on Saturday morning. Getting there on footOnce at the Botanical Gardens, parkrun activities are located near the children’s playground just beyond the Southern end of Ann Street. Getting there by roadThe Botanical Gardens are located at the top of Spencer Street, which runs off Upper Dawson Rd, close to the City’s Southern Bruce Highway entrance. Once in the Gardens, follow directions to the terarooms and playground from where parkrun activities are clearly visible.
