Welcome to Scenic Rim Regional Council.

This new region, your new home, has much to offer.  With this website we aim to help you explore your region, giving you a taste of the wonders that the region has to offer, as well as outlining the services available to residents.

The Scenic Rim region is a wonderful place to live, work and spend your leisure time.

There's a sense of space in most areas of the region, but walk into any of the towns and villages in the region and you'll also see evidence of the strong sense of community.  The rich soils are perfect for crops and agriculture, and the breathtaking World Heritage Listed National Parks encompass some of the most ecologically important areas in Australia.

This is primarily a rural area, but so close to the population centres of the Gold Coast and Brisbane that tourism is also an important industry.  Our location is perfect for those who want to step back from the daily grind, but still be close to the big cities, or for city dwellers looking for a weekend getaway.

It has so much to offer, and the new Scenic Rim Regional Council aims to help you and your family get the most out of the region.
