Eligibility
• Men and women released from Queensland Correctional Centres within the 12 months prior to seeking a service
• Men and women currently incarcerated and who are approved by the respective Correctional Centre to participate in a Video Conference Call with family members from CPS Site Office
• Family members with loved ones in prison.
Our services
We can assist you with the following services:
When you are in prison:
• support and advocacy for you
• support for your family
• video link-ups from site office to the prison (approval required)
• chaplain visits on request.
When you are released:
• support for you in working towards your goals
• referral/accompaniment to a range of community services
• short-term emergency relief
• counselling options
• NDIS information.

For more than 50 years, we’ve been providing support services to the people of South East Queensland. Whilst we are a Catholic agency, we provide these services to the entire community, regardless of religion, circumstance, ethnicity, economic situation, age, gender or ability. You will find Centacare services in every corner of South East Queensland. With a workforce of more than 3000, including our invaluable volunteers, and operating from more than 200 locations, we provide help and create hope for more than 150 000 people each year. With funding from both the Federal and Queensland governments, we are able to provide quality services to those in need of a range of services including childcare, support services for the aged and people with a disability as well as relationship education, counselling and support. We are grateful to our army of volunteers and donors who enable our non-government funded work in prisons, hospitals, psychiatric pastoral care and Indigenous communities.
