Nambour General Hospital is a large acute regional public hospital located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, about 26km north-west of Sunshine Coast University Hospital and 40km north of Caloundra Health Service, servicing Nambour and the hinterland region.

With the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital open at Birtinya, the role of Nambour General Hospital has changed. Nambour General Hospital will be redeveloped to ensure it is used to its optimal capacity and reflects contemporary models of care.
