parkrun - Golden Beach

The course starts from Lamerough Parade next to the car park of Caloundra Powerboat Club and heads North towards Caloundra where you follow the footpath for a couple of hundred meters before following it onto Mangrove Boardwalk which then re-joins the path. The course continues along the concrete Coastal Pathway until approximately 2 kilometres into the course when you must veer left up onto Landsborough Parade at Bill’s Boat Hire. Following the roadside footpath for approximately 100 meters, turn right down Short Street keeping to the narrow brick pathway until you hit the waterfront again where you return South along the Coastal Pathway retracing your steps back to the start. This entire course is very flat and set along the coastline overlooking Pumicestone Channel. Such a beautiful spot to start your day. Facilities Toilets are located within Woorim Park with an additional few toilet blocks along the course.Free parking is available within the Powerboat Club car park as they are closed until 10am and additional roadside parking surrounds this area.Children’s playgrounds are located within 2km both North and South of the starting/finishing point.Public drinking fountains are also accessible along the course. Getting there by public transportPublic bus services are available on a Saturday morning and will drop you off at the Churchill Street stop on Landsborough Parade where you may then continue the remaining 200m by foot. The closest train station is Landsborough Station. Buses also operate from this station to Caloundra. Please see the TRANSLink website for details. Getting there on footFoot/Bike paths run along the main streets of Caloundra and down along Landsborough Parade and Esplanade, Golden Beach. Getting there by roadAddress for SATNAV: Woorim Park, Golden Beach 4551 From the Caloundra Road exit off the Bruce Highway: Merge onto Caloundra Road and continue onto Bowman Road. Turn right into Park Place and continue onto Landsborough Parade. Take a slight left onto Esplanade. Continue through the first roundabout onto Landsborough Parade. Go straight through two further roundabouts following Landsborough Parade for 1.2km. Turn right into Churchill Street. Follow to end and turn left onto Lamerough Parade where the Caloundra Powerboat Club is situated. Post Run Coffee Every week we grab a post parkrun coffee in a local café along Esplanade.
