Volunteering Queensland Inc

Volunteering Queensland (VQ) is the state's peak body for volunteering. It represents the interests of volunteers, and community organisations who utilise the services of volunteers. VQ is an independent community based non-profit organisation, funded by state and Federal Governments. Services provided: - assists potential volunteers to participate in community activities through volunteering; - provides education & training for volunteers and those working with volunteers; - enables volunteers and community organisations to develop the structure, skills and capacity to better the quality of volunteering for the community; - engages in advocacy & policy development and partnerships with government, corporate and other institutions & organisations on issues relevant to volunteering.
