About Us
Acute and Community Mental Health Service is a component of the Toowoomba District Mental Health Service. It is an integrated service linking inpatient services, located at the Toowoomba Hospital, with community services for children and young people, adults and older persons. Services are delivered by a team of health professionals, including nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and psychiatrists. Acute and Community Mental Health Service offers the following services: A Triage Service as the first point of clinical screening, providing information and referral to establish if a person needs the assistance of the Mental Health Service. This service is staffed 24 hours, 7 days a week. Other services include an Adult Community, Older Persons and Child and Youth Mental Health Services.
