Townsville Community Law

The Seniors Legal and Support Service provides free legal and support services for seniors concerned about elder abuse, mistreatment or financial exploitation. The services are staffed by solicitors and social workers. The Senior Legal and Support Service provides legal information and advice, short-term counseling, individual advocacy, referral to other legal, consumer and support services, representation in court or before tribunals (in certain circumstances), and community education. Services are located in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Hervey Bay and Toowoomba. Clients can access assistance via centre-based appointments, telephone support, home-visits or outreach to other safe locations.
