The Department of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy provides a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient service for patients with gastrointestinal and hepatic conditions. The department accepts referrals from Ayr, Charters Towers, Ingham and Palm Island. Services provided General gastroenterology clinics Hepatitis and Liver clinics Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) clinic Outreach endoscopy services in Ingham, Ayr, Charters Towers and Mount Isa Outreach Out patient clinic services in the Townsville Correctional Centre Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures Endoscopic Ultrasound Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (and jejunal feeding) Oesophageal manometry and ambulatory 24-hour pH monitoring Access to magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) through medical imaging Multidisciplinary team meetings with radiology, pathology, oncology and surgery
