About Us

Eastern Volunteers provides community transport for people living in the Yarra Ranges who are over 65 years of age or people experiencing a disability under 65 yrs of age. If you are Aboriginal you can access our aged care transport if you are over 50 yrs of age or under 50 if you experience a disability. We transport across local government areas and for social , health and recreational reasons.

If you want to have coffee with friends, do some shopping or get to an appointment or maybe go to the airport on your way to visit family then we can transport you. You might need transport for short periods of time eg if you break an arm or post surgery or ongoing.

We provide assisted transport for shopping and other needs although shopping is by far the favourite pastime. In assisted transport a volunteer accompanies you. We are always looking for more volunteers to assist our senior clients with their shopping. No personal care is provided through this service.

We  provide buses for community organisations who are funded under the CHSP program.

We run shopping buses for our consumers on a twice weekly basis.

We also provide full fee for service transport for NDIS clients, people on a Home Care Package or for child protection agencies.
