Victims Register, Victims Support Agency

Voluntary register that:
* Allows someone who has been a victim of violent crime to receive specific information while the adult offender is under sentence in Victoria: in prison or whilst on parole; or post sentence: subject to an Supervision Order or Detention Order
* Invites registered victims, where applicable, to provide a written submission to the Adult Parole Board, and to the Courts.
* Gives the option of being notified in the event that an award of damages has been made to a prisoner/offender in a claim against the State of Victoria or a private prison operator, which has been quarantined in the Prisoner Compensation Quarantine Fund
