Chronic Illness Alliance

Preferred definition:
A chronic illness is an illness that is permanent or lasts a long time. It may get slowly worse over time. It may lead to death, or it may finally go away. It may cause permanent changes to the body. It will certainly affect the person's quality of life

Alliance of 55 member organisations, both state and national which:
* Provides information, education and representation to health service programs for people with Chronic Illness
* Provides general information on the law for people with Chronic Illness, their families and advisors, to make informed decisions about the future
* Provides information on Chronic Illnesses experienced by children and young people in Victoria
* Provides a self guided course for setting up and running a peer support group
