About Us

The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) is Australia's largest breastfeeding information and support service. Breastfeeding is a practical, learned skill and ABA help more than 80,000 mothers each year. ABA also provides up-to-date information and continuing education for thousands of health professionals working with mothers and babies.

We run a free National Breastfeeding Helpline 24/7 with qualified volunteer breastfeeding counsellors on the roster. The phone number is 1800 686 268.

We run support groups in the local community where we provide information, education, support and counselling to mothers who are breastfeeding their babies and to their families. We encourage membership that enables women to attend our support group meetings.

In addition, we regularly run Breastfeeding Education Classes in various locations.
