About Us

The Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer-based emergency service, servicing the State of Victoria. VICSES has a wide range of roles including: " Planning and responding to floods, tsunami, severe storms and earthquakes " Road, aircraft, industrial and rail rescue " Search and rescue " Providing support to Victoria Police and other emergency service organisations " Emergency management planning providing advice, support and guidance to municipalities and government departments, as well as providing an audit role for all municipal emergency management plans " More than 5,500 volunteers, supported by approximately 150 staff, provide these responses across the state
