Kids First (formerly Children’s Protection Society) has been working with children and families since 1896, setting in place the foundations for better lives, better care and most importantly prevention, within the most diverse and challenging sector of community care. We pride ourselves on pioneering and delivering ground-breaking, evidence-based programs to children, young people and families. Our services entail professional support for complex issues of sexual abuse, child neglect, family violence, homelessness, poverty, mental health, drug and alcohol issues and the consequent trauma experienced. Kids First supports children and families underpinned by our guiding principle of ‘HEART’ – Hope, Empowerment, Accountability, Respect and Trust - the values which bind our culture, purpose and vision.
