Mill Park Community House

This community house provides recreational, educational and vocational classes including computer training, literacy, office procedures, Food Handling Levels 1 & 2, Medical Reception, Medical Terminology, yoga, dressmaking, Patchwork, Craft. The service also offers training in Certificate 1 & 2 in Information Technology and Certificate 2 & 3 in Business.. Also available are referrals for family, financial and Relationship counselling. This house offers Parenting Courses, Recycled Teenagers Senior Citizens Group, senior citizens help groups, Legal Aid/Advice and the Mill Park Garden Club. Childcare is offered on a daily basis. This includes care for people doing courses, low cost occasional care and emergency care. The organisation is also a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) offering Nationally recognised training. The Community House also specialises in assistance for people with disabilities. A weekend Respite Activities, weekly social group, monthly disco and junior discos are run for clients with an Intellectual Disability. Sign Language and Working with Disability courses are also offered.
