Catholiccare is registered under the Family Law Act to provide confidential counseling. The mission of Catholiccare is to build on the vision of “life to the full” for families, individuals and communities, in all their diversity. They seek to achieve this especially for those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged. Catholiccare offers a variety of programs state wide including: ? Family and Relationships Counselling – counsellors do all kinds of counselling for individuals, relationship, couples, grief and loss, children/adolescent and family therapy. ? Family Dispute Resolution (incorporating mediation) – mandatory before attending court in the matter of separation. Help’s to negotiate agreement around parenting/ property and financial settlements. ? FOCCUS – Pre-marriage counselling for couples – couple will have over three sessions to reflect on their strengths, and weaknesses and what it takes to have a strong, healthy and lasting marriage. ? Parenting Orders Program – program that supports families through the separation process to minimise conflict, and better manage parenting in the best interest of the child. ? Smart Moves – Post separation parenting course – a range of support services are available to meet specific needs including individual counselling, reunification and post-separation education and support. ? Alcohol and Drug Counselling – provides specialist counselling for individuals and families who are supporting family members dealing with substance addiction.
