About Us

The Western Australian Quitline, funded by WA Department of Health, is a confidential information and counselling telephone service, providing individually tailored support to those who want to quit smoking. If calling from a mobile phone, counsellors will offer to call back on the number to limit the cost to the caller. Quitline counsellors are trained to work across a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Callers can be referred with a request to access an interpreter or the callers themselves may request to access an interpreter. Quitline uses the national Translating and Interpreting Service. Counsellors are trained in accessing and using this service with Quitline clients.
