Older Adult Inpatient Mental Health Service - Bentley

The Older Adult Mental Health Inpatient service is a 26 bed unit that caters for the differing needs of those patients who require admission. It caters for people over 65. This unit is an authorised facility, which is able to provide care for patients admitted on an involuntary basis under the Mental Health Act 2014, as well as voluntary patients who require 24 hour support due to dementia or mental health difficulties.

The Specialist Treatment team meet the needs of elderly patients who are often behaviourally disturbed due to acute mental health and/or cognitive impairment/dementia as well as typically frail and experiencing complex medical co-morbidities.

The Service is located at J Block at Bentley Hospital.
