About Us

When you join our growing community of school volunteers in providing support for young people who need help the most, it has a life-long impact on vulnerable students.

Join us in a volunteer role that suits you.  We have a range of roles to choose from, from one-to-one mentoring or reading and numeracy support, through to gardening, library, sports and breakfast club activities. Simply select a role that suits your personality, interests and lifestyle.

You’ll share skills, knowledge and experience that will transform a student’s academic success as well as social and emotional wellbeing. In return, you’ll be more connected to your community which has the power to improve your overall wellbeing and mental health. It’s mutually beneficial.

At EdConnect, we’ve been training volunteers and connecting them with local schools across Australia for over 20 years. Every year, our volunteers offer life-changing – potentially life-saving – support for more than 11,000 young people in more than 230 schools nationwide.

As a mentor you can – support a student by visiting them at school for 1 hour per week, to help with academic tasks, having conversations about their wellbeing or doing crafts/sports or other activities.

As a Learning Support Volunteer you can – assist with reading and numeracy support in the classroom or library, help in the canteen, school gardens or with breakfast club activities.

You’ll be able to share skills, knowledge and experience that can transform the students’ prospects whilst gaining the opportunity for you to make new friends and make a difference in your community.
