Alcohol and other drug counselling

HOPE’s Street Vans travel to areas in the Perth metro area and Goldfields where young people congregate after school. The Street Vans provide a healthy, safe environment where young people are welcome to engage – there are games, crafts, music, fun, and cool drinks in the summer, and blankets and beanies in the winter. Staff and volunteers provide information about the consequences of alcohol and other drug misuse, and ways to minimise harm, including safer using, reducing use, and not using at all. They provide information about support services that may be helpful for the young people who access the service. Street Vans are one of the ways people can support HOPE through volunteering.
