About Us
Coolbellup Library is located in the Coolbellup Community Hub, across the carpark from the Coolbellup Shopping Centre. There is a public carpark available, as well as ample parking at the shopping centre.
There are study desks with powerpoints and USB points accessible, and casual reading areas for browsing the latest newspapers and magazines. There are internet PCs available for members to use. There is a children's area with books available to borrow or just use in the library. The library offers free scanning to USB or email, and free wifi all day.
Becoming a library member: To join the library, any resident of Western Australia must bring proof of their WA address into the library, and they can become a member on the spot. A member is allowed to borrow 20 items for three wfeeks, and use the public internet terminals for up to three hours a day. Membership is always free; the only costs involved with the library are any charges incurred by late, lost, or damaged items, and by printing and photocopying.
Adult Events: The library holds regular events for adults at various times throughout the week that usually require a booking in advance. See the website for details about upcoming events.
Children's events: The library holds storytimes (for ages 2-5) each Wednesday at 10:30am, and Pram Jams (for ages 0-2) every Monday at 10am. Lego Club runs on the third Wednesday of each month from 3:30pm. None of these events require booking. See the website for details and dates.
