GIVIT

GIVIT is a national online not-for-profit matching generosity with genuine need by inspiring and connecting an online network of givers. Through its website, Australian charities and community organisations can request essential, quality items on behalf of the people they support. GIVIT then matches these requests with items donated by members of the public, ensuring vulnerable people receive exactly what they need, when they need it the most. Since establishment in 2009, more than 1,400,000 items have been donated via GIVIT to assist people in need.

GIVIT makes giving easy via its free online platform givit.org.au, enabling everyday people to see exactly what items are required by people in and around their local community. 

Disaster recovery

During times of disaster and emergency, GIVIT works with government agencies, local councils and not-for-profit organisations to identify the immediate and long-term needs of the affected community.

We then match offers from individuals and businesses to ensure those who need assistance get exactly what they need, where and when they need it most.

Donations are pledged online, eliminating the need for storing, sorting and disposing of inappropriate, unwanted donations. The GIVIT platform maintains the privacy and dignity of all recipients, ensuring they receive only quality items and only those that they require.

In 2015, GIVIT Listed Ltd was awarded the National Resilient Australia Award by Australia's Attorney-General for its Disaster Recovery Service.
