About Us

Neighbourhood Link, a group of local people, has been formed in East Fremantle to help the elderly and people with a disability to lead a happier and more beneficial life in their own homes. Neighbourhood Link helpers visit people in their homes, talk with them, maybe read a newspaper or read a story, take them to the doctor, take them shopping, or even for a hair-do, write a letter, cook a meal, do some gardening or complete a handyman job. They are a helpful friend for those needing help. The need is always there to increase our numbers of volunteers. This makes the load lighter for those already volunteering. We also need Italian speaking helpers to make communication easier with some of our Italian members.
