About Us

The FVHGA sources and co-ordinates volunteer Guides who provide historical information to visitors to the Fremantle Round House to add value to their Fremantle experience. The Round House is open daily from 10.30am to 3.30pm and the 1.00pm cannon is fired and the time ball lowered daily (weather permitting). We manage school and group bookings to the Round House and weddings and functions held on the grass to the south of the Round House. The Round House is the oldest extant public building in Western Australia.
