Southcare is a proactive carer, connector and contributor, offering you aged care, home care and community services to help you live independently in your own home and community.

Because we are not-for-profit, we exist to support you or your loved ones and not drive profit.

Care  

While we provide the care, you are very much in control. We have no hidden fees and you can have services for as little or as long as you need.  

Community Connection   

Connection is at the heart of what we do and just like you, we’re local and proud to be part of the community for 40 years.   

We understand you want to stay in your own home for as long as possible. Your needs might range from light housekeeping to a support package that assists you with more complex day-to-day activities. We’re here to help.  

How we use our caring hands in your home:

We support you, providing services and products you choose, to stay in your own home.

• Personal Care: Dressing, grooming, medication prompts
• Domestic Assistance: Light meals, washing, vacuuming and other general cleaning 
• Garden & Home Maintenance: Minor maintenance to keep you safe in your garden and home, for example gutter cleaning, window cleaning, pruning
• Respite: A break for your carer from their regular role
• Transport: Medical appointments & community activities
• Dementia Services: Specialised care and attention
• Tailored Services: Coordinated suites of care and support services to meet your needs and aspirations

We provide these services for the aged or retirees who have government subsidies and who are self funded via the Home Care Package and Commonwealth Home Support Programme. We can also guide you through the assessment process.

Because we are not-for-profit, we can provide more cost effective and flexible aged care services. For example, we offer 30 and 45 minute service appointments instead of billing you for time you don’t need. This provides you with greater flexibility and control.  

And because we are local, like you, we can help you with what's important and what matters most to you. It might be as simple as continuing to shop at your regular supermarket or having coffee at your favourite cafe.

How we use our caring hands in the community: 

Aboriginal Family Support: working in partnership with the local South Perth Aboriginal community, providing support and services to help create strong individuals, families and communities

Emergency Relief: vouchers for food and clothing for those in immediate crisis

Financial Counselling: a free and confidential service offering advice to help you manage during difficult financial situations 

Op Shop: offering a wide range of pre-loved goods donated by the local community and a chance for regular social interaction, funds raised help us continue to use our caring hands in the community
