About Us
Aims: To assist eligible migrants to gain enough English to function in the community. Services/Activities: Centre-based English classes at Armadale, Carlisle, Thornlie. Mode: Full and part time classes at all venues, evening and Saturday classes (at Carlisle and Thornlie), part time community classes (in East Fremantle, Langford, Rockingham, Mandurah & Northbridge) Other: Home Tutor Scheme (visiting volunteer teacher), referral to the National Distance Learning Provider for online learning. Free childcare. Onsite creche for learners in many community classes (up to 12 hours a week). New community classes may be opened in any location where there is a need. Fees: Free to eligible migrants/refugees. Eligibility depends on date of arrival, visa, sub-class etc, needs to checked by AMEP administration.

Volunteer Notes
Home Tutor Scheme (visiting learners in their homes). Conversation Volunteers and Classroom Aides (in an AMEP centre). Please call on 08 9201 4281. Also provides free training for volunteers from other community agencies.
