About Us
Women's Health & Wellbeing Services specialise in supporting women, families and children's mental and emotional health.
Who do we support?
WHWS support women and families.
- Clients need to be able to keep themselves safe between appointments.
- If clients have a complex mental health diagnosis they need to be supported by a psychiatrist.
Our Services
WHWS provides an initial comprehensive assessment, ensuring that our clients are matched with a therapist and services that best meet their needs. We offer individual, couple and family counselling sessions with one of our professionally qualified Counsellors, Psychologists. Therapeutic Groups are offered throughout the year by our Counsellors & Clinical Psychologist. Services includes:

- Couple and family counselling
- Children's counselling (Our sessions focus on the treatment of a range of childhood disorders and issues including socio-emotional difficulties, bullying, sibling conflict, anxiety, depression, trauma related symptoms, grief and loss due to bereavement, separation or divorce, the facilitation of a healthy parent-child attachment relationship. - Non-directive Pregnancy Support counselling (counselling to help women who have had any personal concerns related to a current or recent past pregnancy {in the last 12 months}. This is whether it’s been a full-term pregnancy, termination, loss of a pregnancy or she is currently pregnant and would like to explore possible options. - Sex Therapy counselling (Sex therapy is like other forms of counselling which aims to provide a comfortable non-judgmental atmosphere to discuss any issues relating to your sexuality, intimate relationships, or sexual self-esteem. Sex therapy is available to individuals or couples. Issues for individuals may include: body image, performance anxiety, sexual identity/expression/ self-esteem, gender identity, issues related to desire, orgasm, sexual trauma, etc. Issues for couples may include: emotional intimacy, mis-matched libidos, infidelity, managing rejection, communication and expression of desires/ preferences, etc. Visit https://www.whws.org.au/sextherapy)

Fees:
Fees vary depending on the type of service.
The out of pocket expenses for each individual session for the first 10 sessions are $30 with a concession card or $50 non concession ($80 and $50 for couples counselling respectively).
The ongoing sessions costs $115 with a concession card or $135 non concession ($180 for couples )
The fees can be subsidized through the use of Medicare rebates, private health insurance, funding and where health care cards are applicable. If you are experiencing financial hardship, we have a financial hardship subsidy program to reduce the fees (conditions apply).
