The After Hours GP Clinic has been in operation at Joondalup Health Campus since 1998. Our GP’s are established, qualified medical practitioners who work in the northern suburbs and know the local areas and communities. Location: The clinic is now located in the Specialist Medical Centre (West) - adjacent to Pause Café, the pharmacy and florist - Joondalup Health Campus, Shenton Avenue, Joondalup WA Opening Hours The clinic is open every day of the year, including Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The hours of operation are as follows: Monday to Friday: 7pm to 11pm Saturday, Sundays & Public Holidays: 11am to 11pm. Payment The After Hours Clinic bulk-bills all patients under the age of 16 and those who hold a current pension or health care card. All other patients including overseas visitors are privately billed and payment is required at the time of consultation Our clinic bulk-bills all patients under the age of 16, people who hold a current pension or healthcare card, and compassionate cases. Consultations are charged at standard Medicare rate, and you need to pay this fee at the time of your visit. You need to produce your Medicare card. Facilities are available for workers compensation, motor vehicle claims and Veteran Affairs claims. Important information The GP’s at the clinic DO NOT prescribe or stock OPIATES or BENZODIAZEPINES under any circumstances. If you need those medications you need to see your own GP or be seen at a hospital Emergency Department. The clinic does not take appointments and whilst every effort is made to see patients in order of arrival, there are times where the clinical needs of a patient warrants that they be treated before others. If you have a regular GP, information about your consultation and copies of any test results can be sent back to them at your request.
