About Us

The Community Centre provides a central meeting place for Senior Citizens to pursue leisure, and keep informed about relevant social issues.The centre provides support to people with disabilities and their carers to enable them to remain in their own homes. The Centre provides services to the frail aged, and has a positive attitude to ageing. There are programs available for senior citizens including meals on wheels, care aid and in-home respite as well as there being support groups for carers. Assistance is given for shopping, banking, doctors and medical appointments, correspondence etc. There is a 'call in' service to give extra support in the evenings and weekends. All needs are assessed individually. Clients need to be a financial member to join in on any, or all activities provided by the Centre. Respite Care and In Home Respite clients are not required to be members if they do not access any of the activities.

Activities: Recreation, bingo, carpet bowls, card games, craft, gentle exercise, line dancing, tap dancing, social groups

Fees: Membership $20 per year, cost of meals $6

Available To: Frail aged and younger people with disabilities
