Department of Sport and Recreation - Goldfields Region

The Department of Sport & Recreation is a resource centre for sport and recreation for all individuals and groups, whether able bodied or accessible.Some of the objectives of the Department of Sport & Recreation include to ensure maximum opportunities for people to participate in sports of their choosing to the fullest extent of their desire and skill, to increase opportunities and participation in sport and recreation, to promote higher standards of management practices, facilities and performance, to promote equity in opportunity for people, to develop self managed groups - self responsible individuals. The Department has a regionally based professional system to provide statewide services to non-metropolitan Western Australia and to meet needs on a local basis.
