The 5km course is in Karkula Bushland Park on the edge of town is an expansive nature reserve filled with Salmon Gums, Blackbutt and the silky pear that gives the park its name.Runners will do a loop that leads uphill to a elevated viewing platform, allowing good views over the surrounding plains. The undulating course is run on a mixture of bitumen like pea gravel. Leaves and small bits from trees may be on the track on windy mornings.Landcare Kalgoorlie ask that all parkrunners please put rubbish in bins throughout the park and to stay on the tracks.
