Family Counselling

Provides a free family service for families' children (with at least one child 0-12 years) in the local Kwinana area. The service identifies the strengths and needs of the parents and uses a positive approach to build a strong parent/child relationship. Home based visiting including early education health and family support programmes. Uses the Lets Read and Better Beginnings programs to promote reading to children from birth. Aims to empower parents, improve confidence and provide suitable links within the community to other service providers. Two specialised counsellors in attendance on Fridays from the South Coastal Women's Health. Local service providers and community members meet regularly to collaborate and plan initiatives; a newsletter available. KEYS originally known as Kidlink Early Intervention Programme.
