The Department of Local Government and Communities (DLGC) role is to make a difference for local communities, by building closer collaboration and stronger partnerships between the State Government, local governments and community service organisations. This includes encouraging and supporting young people to engage in community life. DLGC produces a number of on-line publications which are useful for young people.
