About Us

GSCORE is a not-for-profit organisation established to promote the growth and development of the outdoor recreation industry in the Great Southern region of Western Australia.

We aim to create a vibrant and sustainable outdoor recreation sector through the provision of innovative training, business support and strategic planning services. A flourishing outdoor recreation sector has significant economic and health benefits for rural and regional communities. It plays an important role in attracting and retaining a skilled workforce; it provides training and career pathways for youth and indigenous people; and it attracts visitors and associated tourism investment.

Broadly defined, outdoor recreation includes outdoor education (primary to tertiary); individual or group-based active recreation and leisure pursuits that take place in a natural setting; nature-based and adventure tourism; and nature-based active wellness therapies.

Our Activities

  • Promotion - Assisting with the marketing of the Great Southern as a destination for outdoor recreation activities & events.
  • Business Support - Providing a forum to showcase innovation and best practice and encourage the adoption of innovative practices and solutions amongst outdoor recreation operators.
