About Us
The evidence based SIDS and Kids Aboriginal Safe Sleeping Program seeks to reduce the unacceptable rates of Aboriginal Infants dying of SIDS and sleeping accidents.
The RROSIAC program (Reducing the Rates of SUDI in Aboriginal Communities) has been successfully operating since 2005.
This Aboriginal specific and culturally appropriate program is designed to inform families and educate professionals working with Aboriginal families about SUDI including SIDS and fatal sleep accidents. The program is tailored to raise awareness of the Safe Sleeping recommendations and prevent sleeping accidents through the knowledge of strategies, identifying risk factors, educating about product safety , assisting individuals to make informed choices by implementation into infant care practices.
