About Us
The Centre is an independent, non-government community legal centre, funded to provide a specialised legal service throughout Western Australia.
Our primary service is to provide the confidential legal advice and representation to people who are involuntary patients in the mental health system. We may also be able to assist with other legal problems, including criminal matters and guardianship and administration but only if the problems relates directly to mental illness.
We also provide community legal education. We conduct training about mental illness and the law and also do tailored presentations on request.
