About Us

The North East Metropolitan Community Drug Service provides a comprehensive alcohol and other drug service for the north east metropolitan community through its Midland office. The range of services provided includes individual, family and group interventions to alcohol and other drug users and those who are impacted by someone else's alcohol and other drug use.

The service is operated by Holyoake in conjunction with Next Step Drug and Alcohol Services and funded through the Mental Health Commission.

Services provided include:

  • Assessment
  • Referral
  • Counselling
  • Individual, family and group interventions to alcohol and other drug users
  • Diversion programs; provide and offer counselling for the WA diversion program

In addition, the North East Metropolitan Community Drug Service also provides:

  • Next Step Medical Services: Holyoake works in partnership with Next Step to provide medical assessment and review, and opiate and alcohol pharmacotherapy to the north east metropolitan community.
  • Drug and Alcohol Withdrawal Network (DAWN): DAWN assists people to manage their withdrawal from alcohol and other drug use in their own environment. DAWN is a metro wide service provided by St John of God Hospital and one of the DAWN nurses is based at Holyoake’s Midland office.
