The Qld Blind Association provides assistance to people who are blind, or have a vision impairment, in Queensland. Other services include financial assistance for members towards rates, electricity, house repayments and home maintenance and initial free White Symbol Cane. Members may purchase one white cane per year at 50% discount. Audio newsletter on upcoming events and subjects of interest. A reading service for members requiring help with correspondence, completing forms, or even having a newspaper article read to them. Computer users group which provides a means of obtaining and exchanging non-commercial software.
