buttonSitting in a cluster of Perth’s hottest inner-city hubs, North Perth has a buzzing village vibe that’s got the perfect mix of cool and quirky. It’s here you’ll find some of the best espresso bars and brunch spots alongside classic heritage hotels, curious art studios and Olympic-class leisure facilities. A 10-minute drive or bus ride from central Perth will take you straight to North Perth’s hotspots on Fitzgerald Street and Angove Street. Or, you can walk there in just over 40 minutes. Along the way, you’ll notice that much of North Perth’s grand colonial architecture from the early 1900s still stands proud today, including the Town Hall, post office, school, monastery, mosque and many quaint cottages. In more recent years, North Perth became centre stage for the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, and Western Australia got its first Olympic water sports facility - Beatty Park Leisure Centre. Take a dip in one or all five of its refurbished pools, or work off your indulgences at its state-of-the-art gym facilities. For live music, be sure to check out the local, national and international artists headlining at The Rosemount Hotel and, just opposite, you can enjoy a little nostalgic fun at the old Rosemount Theatre’s retro bowling alley.
