Faulconbridge image

Faulconbridge is a small village located in the mid-mountains and was also home to the Australian writer and artist Norman Lindsay. Author of the popular children's story The Magic Pudding, his former house now operates as the Norman Lindsay Gallery and Museum. Each February, the Gallery hosts Jazz in the Gardens, take a picnic and be entertained on the lovely grounds. This area is an interesting location for history enthusiasts, as one of its earliest residents was the "Father of Federation", Sir Henry Parkes. His grave stands prominently in the local cemetery. There is also an ever-expanding Prime Minister's Corridor of Oaks with a tree planted by every Australian Prime Minister
