Wee Waa is Australia's Cotton Capital and is located in the rich agricultural heartland of Lower Namoi Valley in North West New South Wales. A modern town, it has many recreational facilities, cafes and shops. Walk around the town and view its interesting architecture including the Imperial Hotel, the first three-storey structure to be built in the North West, with magnificent iron lace. While in Wee Waa make sure you visit the unique Namoi Echo Museum on Rose Street which is a wonderful reminder of days gone by, open Thursday to Saturday. The CSIRO Australian Radio Telescopes will satisfy your scientific curiosities and a swim in the hot Artesian Bore Bath at Pilliga will soothe your aches and pains.
