The gateway to Binya State Forest and Cocoparra National Park, Binya is a friendly farming community, located northwest of Narrandera on the Burley Griffin Way. John Oxely first explored the district in 1817 and a few kilometres west of Binya is a memorial for him. The Binya State Forest is on both sides of the Burley Griffin Way west of Binya and there are many tracks to explore through the forest.
