Rouse Hill is steeped in history and is the site of the first convict rebellion in Australia, the Battle of Vinegar Hill in 1804. Rouse Hill House and Farm was built between 1813 and 1818 by convict labourers and in 2013 is celebrating 200 years on Windsor Road. Next door you'll find Rouse Hill Regional Park, kids love the adventure playground, the tracks are great for riding scooters and bikes and it's the perfect spot for a barbecue or picnic lunch with family and friends. Dogs are welcome! Historic pub, The Mean Fiddler, with it's Heritage building that fronts Windsor Road was designed by Sir Francis Greenway in 1826 as a half way house for Cobb & Co, to service the Parramatta to Windsor run. The Australian Hotel and Brewery is a family friendly hotel with great food and great atmosphere. The Brewery Tour is well worth a look!
