About Us

Apace (WA) is a self-supporting, community-based organisation promoting appropriate technology and environmentally sustainable development. Founded in 1983 and based in historic Winter House at North Fremantle its activities and facilities include: A community revegetation nursery and revegetation service; Classes and courses on organic gardening, compost making, seed collection, bush regeneration etc run regularly - see website; Training and educational programmes with an environmental focus, particularly for unemployed and disadvantaged groups; Various environmental, appropriate technology and renewable energy projects.
