Etheridge Community

Etheridge Shire Council has an approximate area of 39,000 km².

It is comprised of the localities of Abingdon Downs, Conjuboy, Einasleigh, Forsayth, Georgetown, Gilbert River, Gilberton, Lyndhurst, Mount Surprise, Northhead and Talaroo plus parts of Strathmore.

It is surrounded by the councils of Charters Towers, Croydon, Flinders, Mareeba, Richmond and Tablelands.

It is within the state electorate of Traeger.

It is within the federal electorate of Kennedy.
